Radcliff was part of a rushing attack that had over 200 yards on the ground!
Week one started at FIU South between Columbus vs. Palmetto. The Panthers defense did a good job early keeping Columbus offense from getting much going. Palmetto had their opportunities early on to not only keep the game close but take the lead. They kept Columbus from getting in a flow. Right before the half, Palmetto was down 7-0 with less than 1 minute remaining when bad luck struck. As Wyatt Chickillo rolled out to pass he was hit from behind, fumbled the ball and Columbus took it in for a 14-0 halftime lead. Any chance that Palmetto had to in this game was squashed to start the 2nd half as Columbus went right down the field and scored again. After they took a 21-0 lead the game was pretty much over with.

Player of the Week: Mike Blakley-15 rushes for 148 yards- 4 TD's.
Last week was just a taste of what to expect this upcoming season. Manatee showed the nation why they will be one of the best teams in the country. Miami Central went out and destroyed one of Broward’s better teams. Cocoa continued their winning ways by beating Olive Branch (Mississippi). Each one of these teams played very well and look like favorites in their respective classifications to make it to Orlando in 2010. ESS breaks down week 1 power ratings in Florida.

In the end Florida went 3-1 against their out of state foes. Here is ESS breakdown of the four games and what we expect from each of the Florida teams this season.

Lang chooses to be a Bull!
This past week was slow as far as commitments go. Only two prospects decided to pull the trigger this past week: Demetris Anderson (Ft Pierce Westwood) and Max Lang (Boone HS). Lang was a prospect that early on drew a ton of attention. His recruitment of late flew under the radar. He decided to stay close to home and go to University of South Florida. For Anderson he spurned some of the top programs in college football by surprising a lot of people and choosing UCF. The Golden Knights continue to put together one of the best recruiting classes in school history.
